Keeping in touch with business - polishing up your network
Graham writes......Recognition PR is proud of its own business network. Not only is the firm serving a brilliant list of clients in different sectors but it is also very active in several important business organisations.
Two of the partners are active members of the Institute of Directors, Senior Partner Graham Robb is the Chairman of the IOD in County Durham and a member of the IODs North East Board. The business is also and active member of the NE Chamber of Commerce, for which it organises the North East Shadow MPC (see video) in conjunction with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.
The business is an active member of NOF Energy, the trade body for suppliers to the energy sector and this year was a proud sponsor of part if its annual conference.
In terms of support for the Arts Recognition merged business with pleasure as a sponsor of the bi-annual Lumiere festival in Durham City.
We also organise the Yorkshire Shadow MPC in Leeds together with Lee & Priestley Solicitors and the Yorkshire Post and organise regular business forumns in Huddersfield.
In Tees Valley our work with the Local Enterprise Partnership is very useful in generating and supporting local business networks. Last month's event on Budget Day was very well attended.
The latest organisation to get active support from Recognition is the Entrepreneur's Forum, a cross sector peer-group of like minded individuals who share ideas, knowledge, inspiration and opportunities in a business environment.
