NEW YEAR, NEW OFFICE

We’ve done it! After months of preparation and a number of sleepless nights, we have finally moved into our new premises in Pioneer Court, Darlington. It began on Thursday 2nd Jan and finished late the following evening, all boxes unpacked, IT and telecommunications system up and running , ready to commence work at 8.30am on Monday 6th January.

They say moving home is one of the most stressful things you can do. I’d have to say that the principle’s the same when moving a business.  The support from a number of trusted advisors and local businesses and lots of hard work from the team at Recognition has enabled a relatively smooth transition into our new office.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Tim Carter, Associate Partner at Sanderson Weatherall  for brokering the deal, Nicola Neilson, Partner and commercial property expert at Latimer Hinks for the legal work, Stuart Anderson, Managing Director of Wilkinson Maintenance for a superb re-fit and finally Allison Routledge , International Commercial Manager at HSBC, for putting together the finance deal.

We have invested in excess of £300,000, including the purchase of the building, new carpets, and state of the art audio visual and internet marketing technology and we are now ready to take the business forward into the next decade.

2013 was my 25th year in business and I am determined to start 2014 with a bang. This is a big investment for Recognition, now we own the space needed to expand and develop as the economy recovers. Our business is growing and is setting the pace in providing PR and marketing services to the North’s most enterprising organisations.
