Kenton Hall Care Home, part of Solehawk, has appointed Sandra Levitt as its new deputy manager. Sandra brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her new role, having nurtured a lifelong passion for the care sector.

Sandra's journey in health and social care began at the tender age of 16, working in a local care home. After taking time off to raise her two children, during which she held various part-time roles in customer service, telesales, bar work, and retail.

Sandra enjoyed a significant tenure as a warehouse coordinator for The Pen Shop Company before pursuing her passion for helping others in Sunderland Council’s reablement team. Her work there was immensely rewarding, providing crucial support to individuals recovering from serious health issues and helping them regain independence.

When the Covid-19 pandemic limited community visits, Sandra transitioned back to a care home setting, joining Solehawk as a senior carer. She is also currently completing a Level 5 qualification in Management in Health and Social Care.

In her role as deputy manager, Sandra is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the home, liaising with medical professionals, and leading a dedicated team to ensure the highest standards of care for all residents. Her responsibilities also include staff roster management, addressing complaints, and enhancing staff well-being.

Malcolm Hanson, Home Manager at Kenton Hall, said: “Sandra is a tremendous asset to our team.
