Comment on Government's Autumn Statement
NEWS RELEASE: ISSUED ON BEHALF OF MIDDLETON ENTERPRISES
Business Angel Jeremy Middleton, who owns Middleton Enterprises and who is a North East Local Enterprise Partnership board member, said: “In the current climate, small and medium-sized businesses have been experiencing difficulties in obtaining finance from banks and other traditional financial institutions.
“The announcement of the extension to the Enterprise Investment Scheme to specifically help start-up businesses get the seed investment they need and the credit easing policy are welcome moves for fledging SMEs and venture capitalists considering taking a financial stake in them.
“Encouraging an entrepreneurial culture is vital to stimulating the economy and helping drive the UK out of recession.”
