Bristol Street Motors opens Vauxhall Brand Centre in Chingford creating jobs
NEWS RELEASE: ISSUED ON BEHALF OF BRISTOL STREET MOTORS
Bristol Street Motors in Chingford will be opening its doors on June 1 to welcome customers to its newly-built Vauxhall Brand Centre, after taking on an additional 26 colleagues to operate the facility.
Vertu Motors, the parent company of national brand Bristol Street Motors, has overseen the £5 million investment in the two storey state-of-the art showroom located adjacent to the North Circular Road.
New jobs were created as part of the investment including Parts Advisors, Technicians and Sales Executives. The new recruits will work alongside the existing Vauxhall business team, who have transferred from Gants Hill in Ilford.
The outlet is based on the former Shadbolt International factory site which had fallen into disrepair until it was secured by Vauxhall Motors and planning permission was accepted to build a contemporary car dealership by Bristol Street Motors.
The dealership is the first of Vauxhall’s new-look Brand Centres and one of eleven Vauxhall dealerships operated by Bristol Street Motors. The development is a modern, purpose built facility providing 2,111m² of floorspace, set over two floors.
The design of the showroom is environmentally aware; this includes a heat recovery system, which provides a significant reduction in carbon emissions and easily accessible Electric Vehicle charge points.
As one of only 23 sites in the UK to provide advice and sell the new electric Ampera, billed as the revolutionary new electric car which never runs out of power, the site is highly anticipated to bring innovation and top-class engineering to its customers.
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu Motors said: “We are extremely pleased with the completed Brand Centre. It has made a significant impact on the aesthetics of the area and we are committed to providing a quality and comprehensive service to the local area and surrounding region.”
Mark Brown, General Manager at Bristol Street Motors Vauxhall in Chingford, said: “We are looking forward to being fully open to offer customers great deals on brand new Vauxhall cars and commercials plus a large selection of quality used vehicles. The site also houses a comprehensive Aftersales department which uses the latest vehicle diagnostic technology, ensuring that customers receive the best possible service.
“The whole team is looking forward to the opening of the dealership. The Brand Centre is a fantastic looking building where our knowledgeable and dedicated colleagues will be able to advise customers to find what they are looking for.”
Andy Robson, Retail Network Development Director, Vauxhall Motors, said: "We are delighted to see Bristol Street Motors' new Vauxhall Brand Centre opening its doors to their customers in the Chingford area. Apart from showcasing Vauxhall's latest models from the stylish Astra GTC to the 7-seater Zafira Tourer and the fashionable ADAM yet to come, we are proud to see that this new centre will also promote Vauxhall's green technology flagship, the Ampera and offer specialist advice across the Vauxhall range.
“Benefitting from a brand-new, impressive architectural setting, I am sure that customers visiting Bristol Street Motors' new showroom will enjoy this very special experience."
