Housing Hartlepool tenants have given the service provided by the social registered landlord an overwhelming seal of approval.
This high rating is revealed in an independent survey carried out on behalf of the housing association by the National Housing Federation (NHF).
The levels of tenant satisfaction - some of the highest recorded in recent surveys carried out by the NHF - are demonstrated in the following key findings:
*More than 87% of tenants who had a repair completed in the last 12 months rated all aspects of the actual work as “good” or “very good”.
*91% of tenants are satisfied with their accommodation.
* 90% of tenants find staff helpful.
*90% of tenants are satisfied with the overall repairs and maintenance service -
a 12% increase since a similar survey was carried out in 2004.
*89% of tenants are satisfied with their landlord overall – up by 5%.
*89% of tenants are satisfied with the overall condition of their homes – up 8%.
* 88% tenants consider they are well informed
*84% of tenants feel they obtain good value for money from their rent
* 82% of tenants are happy with the neighbourhood in which they live.
When the results of the survey were compared with the other landlords that have
used the NHF’s survey services, Housing Hartlepool performed extremely well, rating amongst the top in all key areas.
The survey’s concluded: “The results from the survey demonstrate convincingly that Housing Hartlepool tenants believe that the Association is providing an excellent housing service.”
“Tenants are particularly satisfied with their landlord, the accommodation, and all
aspects of the repair work. Generally, satisfaction is higher than it was in 2004.
Housing Hartlepool tenants are on the whole more satisfied, with the services they receive compared with tenants at other similar social landlords.
“It is clear that the majority of tenants are satisfied with their landlord and the overall services.”
Catherine Purdy, Housing Hartlepool Chief Executive, said: “It is reassuring to know that the hard work that has been put in since Housing Hartlepool came into existence is paying off.
“The services we provide for our residents are all down to team work and thanks to the dedicated efforts of our Board, the Tenants Panel and staff working in partnership with a whole range of other agencies.
“However, we do not intend to rest on our laurels and will use the results from this survey to improve our service delivery even further for benefit of our residents as well as the greater good of the town as a whole.”
