NEWS RELEASE: ISSUED ON BEHALF OF HOUSING HARTLEPOOL
Sarah Fawcett, Housing Hartlepool’s Head of Property and Development, said: “These proposals are the second phase of a development, which, in total, will provide 37 much-needed, affordable homes for people in Hartlepool.
“The properties will be designed to high standards, be environmentally friendly, and economical to run.
“The scheme, which in being carried out in conjunction with developer Yuill Homes, will also rejuvenate and breathe new life into the area and contribute to creating sustainable communities.
“Hartlepool Borough Council has secured Homes and Communities Agency grant funding to build new homes under the Government's recent housing stimulus initiative and the first phase of this scheme was the first to start on site in the North East.
“Housing Hartlepool is acting as development agents for the Council on this and two other schemes and very much welcomes the additional affordable housing that is being brought to Hartlepool through this extra grant funding initiative.”
