Middleton Enterprises is helping a digital signage company with its ambitious plans for growth.

Middleton Enterprises, which represents the investment interests of Jeremy Middleton, has put a significant investment into Beyond Digital Systems, which has its head office in Jarrow and a base in Harlow, Essex.

Beyond Digital Systems provides digital signage to sectors such as estate agency, retail environments, automotive, train stations and corporate buildings. The electronic displays can show targeted information, advertising or messages to the public or employees.

The signs, which can range from a single site option to a complex multi-site, multi-channel network, provide the flexibility to keep information up to date and enable the targeting of customers according to time of day, week or season.

For instance a food outlet’s menu list can be automatically changed when an extra item is added or one becomes unavailable or to feature a special meal deal during the lunch period.

Beyond Digital Systems, which employs nine people, also offers consultancy, content design, project management, maintenance, media distribution, network management, product design and implementation.

Beyond Digital Systems has ambitions to gain an even bigger share of the market and the investment and business advice received from Middleton Enterprises will help it steer towards this goal.

A key goal is expansion in the international car showroom market, building on a foothold currently being established in the UK, as well as growth in the fast food market.

Middleton Enterprises is supporting Beyond Digital Systems with £100,000 of investment.

Jeremy Middleton, said: “I believe that Beyond Digital Systems has real potential to grow and that is why I have decided to support the company.

“It has an experienced management team in place, which has put together a solid strategy for the business’s expansion and I envisage these qualities, together with its service excellence and innovative product will enable Beyond Digital Systems to develop its marketplace.”

Louise Richley, Managing Director of Beyond Digital Systems, said: “The investment from Jeremy Middleton, alongside other investors, will play a significant part in our plans to grow the company in the coming months.

“We have established a track record of providing our services to a range of sectors and believe that there are substantial opportunities for us to broaden our customer base further.”

Jeremy Middleton was one of the founders of HomeServe plc in 1990, which represents the company’s core investment. A FTSE250 support services company, HomeServe has a market capitalisation in excess of £1bn.
