| TRAINING
Appearing in front of a television camera, or speaking on
the radio can be a daunting task for many. However, these two
media are the most effective in reaching a mass audience quickly.
The ability of a company to respond to the demands of television
and radio is vital in conveying a message.
Recognition provides solutions to these challenges in the
form of specialist media training courses. Two distinct courses
are offered, one in TV and Radio and the other in Crisis Management.
Courses can be carried out in our own in-house media training suite
or at the client’s offices. A minimum of 4 participants is
required for each course.
Both courses are run by the Partners who have many years’
experience in radio and television.
TV AND RADIO TRAINING
It important that key personnel in your organisation are able
to deal confidently and effectively with these media when necessary.
Recognition offers a one-day media training course for those who
may have to be placed in a live or recorded interview situation.
The course covers an introduction to broadcasting and interview
techniques for radio and television, including recording and ‘doorstepping’.
Participants experience the interview process in a real radio broadcasting
studio and are filmed by national television crews.
By the end of the course, all participants should be competent
in responding to live media requests.
CRISIS MANAGEMENT TRAINING
If a crisis arises you need staff who can handle the situation.
They need to be able to cope with the media, know their legal rights
in relation to the press and understand how to raise the right issues
with the media.
Recognition’s Crisis Management course teaches essential
‘on camera’ techniques as well as the right way to respond
to aggressive questioning. It equips each participant with an understanding
of the media and the ability to run the gauntlet of journalists,
photographers and TV/radio interviewers.
