Marvellous March at Recognition

March has been a dynamic month full of activity at Recognition PR

Less than three years ago I lost my dear wife to cancer - this week I have been thinking about how business life can help turn personal tragedy around. This month has been a massive month for business and client growth. Clients have been all over the national press - every Sunday one of our clients has been in the national papers for good reasons! Clients like Pimlico plumbers, Bannatyne and Truckman have featured on national TV and emerging brands including Handbag Clinic and Travel Bureau have been featured on Sky News. New people have joined the business and our investment in new technology has seen the first use of our live TV streams on social media. I've been all over the UK and Europe this month - I had dinner at Masion House with the cream of British business at the invitation of the Business Secretary and also attended Crufts with my wife! I visited the prestigious MIPIM property event in Cannes and promoted Tees Valley and Airport City Manchester while there. My last annual IOD dinner as chair in the North East was well attended and I hosted an event with the Royal College of Defence Studies. I even had an offer to buy my business - it's not for sale!

Also, Recognition has brought businesses together. The Government asked us to help in the consultation on its Industrial Strategy. We have organised three round table events, hosted by our clients, at which many different businesses were able to give their views to senior officials. With Brexit now underway, industrial strategy has never been so important and we were pleased to be at the heart of the communcication process.

Recognition has taken on several new members of staff recently. Our newest PR Consultant, Rosie Earl, joined us this month. She is an experienced personal finance blogger and has had a career at top firms including Hewlett Packard. The business has gained a momentum that is taking us forward and I'm delighted that my entire team is so engaged.

Next week I'm 53 and celebrating my birthday with my new wife in a new home. My friends, family, colleagues and clients have helped me reach this point and I'm really grateful.
