I’m really sorry not to have updated this blog for a couple of months. The firm has been investing in some new technology and changes to the website, including the new video on our front page. I hope you like it.

The first couple of months of 2013 were really exciting at Recognition. We won several new clients and welcomed some new people to our team.

We also became one of the first 20 firms in the UK to purchase the professional version of the popular social media sharing software Hoot Suite. This will allow us to ensure Tweets and posts to social networks like Linked In and Face Book are co-ordinated, tracked and analysed in order to deliver effective and efficient PR across the internet.

Recognition has also been announced as the lead sponsor for the North East annual dinner of the Institute of Directors. The event takes place on 20 March and features a keynote speech from top sporting coach Sir Clive Woodward.

Finally, I couldn't be more pleased that top business writer Lauren Pyrah has joined Recognition's business team. Lauren was one of the best business reporters in the North of England and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our growing business PR offering.
