Arqiva continues its outreach to ‘not spot’ households
Staff from Arqiva, the company which operates Bilsdale Mast, provided advice to local people on how to restore their TV services at Helmsley market today.
The team handed out information leaflets with advice on how to retune TVs and were supported by Kevin Hollinrake MP for Thirsk and Malton.
Some TV services have been restored to more than 97% of households affected by the Bilsdale fire, and today’s event was focused on helping those who still don’t have any services.
The message, part of the company’s Project Restore campaign, is aimed at family, friends, and neighbours of older and vulnerable people without TV services and encourages them to call the freephone number available to get help on 0800 121 4828.
Advice on retuning your TV set is available at bilsdalemast.co.uk.
Shuja Khan, Chief Commercial Officer of Arqiva, said: “While we are making real progress in restoring services to people there is still more to do, and we are determined to help. That’s why we are out talking to people at local markets and via local media. We ask that people can help spread the word about the support available through the freephone line, 0800 121 4828.”
Kevin Hollinrake, MP for Thirsk and Malton said: “It’s very good to see Arqiva here today. It’s been a very difficult time for everyone here. We’ve had someone here who’s got an engineer going out out on Monday, which is great, it shows there are real world solutions to these problems, so the reaction has actually been very positive from people who were very concerned when they first came to the stall.”
