Woodlands restaurant at Bannatyne Bury St Edmunds has received a prestigious national award for its new plant-based menu.

It has won the ‘Best Vegan Menu’ title in the 2021 Vegan Food Awards, organised by the animal rights charity, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Now in their ninth year, the accolades highlight companies that are providing delicious and exciting vegan food products and menus across the country.

Woodlands has a variety of meat alternatives for classic dishes on its lounge menu and a fine dining menu which includes linguine puttanesca, pine nuts, olives, capers, tomato & basil, baked stuffed artichoke, walnuts, boulangère potatoes, ratatouille & gremolata and butternut squash Tatin, sage & squash velouté.

The plant-based menu focuses on tasty meals to cater for a range of diets including gluten free.

Its vegan spa packages use a range of plant-based products and treatments as well as a vegan lunch or afternoon tea.

The club also boasts a pool, sauna, steam room, and a state-of-the-art gym.
