27/07/2021

Jamie Ovens, who studied HNC and HND Fitness, Health and Exercise and Jack Delaney who studied Levels 5 and 6 Sport for Fitness and HNC Fitness, Health and Exercise are working at the Edinburgh Road health club as fitness advisors.

Both twenty-year-olds are from Dumfries and chose to stay in their local area to take advantage of the opportunities offered to them by their college and local Bannatyne health club.

Jamie is aiming to gain further qualifications, in particular Les Mills, to enable him to teach more classes and help members achieve their fitness goals. Jack, who has had a passion for fitness from the age of six, enjoys designing bespoke fitness programmes to support the wellbeing journey of the members.

The health club already has two former students on its staff – senior fitness advisor Callum Grierson and fitness advisor Alex Bryson.

Lorraine Hutton General Manager Bannatyne Health Club Dumfries said: “Jamie and Jack are welcome additions to our team, and we’re delighted to have them with us.

“Previous graduates from Dumfries and Galloway College have been exceptional and I expect both Jamie and Jack to follow in their footsteps.”
