Boro Taxis, Tees Valley’s largest taxi company, has donated a family day out to Flamingo Land and several free taxi vouchers, to raise funds for Ingleby Manor Foundation Trust in its fundraising drive to provide a skateable landscape at Ingleby Barwick.

The prizes will go towards the Ceilidh event, which has been organised by Friends of Ingleby Manor and is being held this Saturday June 27th at 7.30pm at Ingleby Manor Free School. The event is open to adults and there will be a host of fun activities and refreshments on offer.

Mohammed Bashir, Founder of Boro Taxis, said: “Boro Taxis is very pleased to support this community initiative which will help raise vital funds to build a skate park in the community. It’s an excellent initiative that will set up a first class community resource for use by young people in the community.

“The Ceilidh is a brilliant way to raise funds as it will bring people together to raise funds for the creation of this community resource. We regularly engage in fundraising activities in the community and this is just one example of the kind of locally-focused fundraising we regularly take part in.”

Louise Stephens, Director of the Ingleby Manor Foundation Trust, said: “I’d like to thank Boro Taxis for their donations. The money raised on the night will go towards match-funding for the new skateable landscape. This will be a very important community resource, as 25 per cent of residents are aged 16 and under.”

Sealed bids for items will be accepted until Friday and can be made by emailing friendsofinglebymanor@gmail.com.
