A Blairgowrie care home is throwing open its doors to the community for a fun-filled day, complete with pipers, Linda Tosh Dance School and children’s activities.

Muirton House Care Home on Essendy Road is holding the exciting community event on Saturday, 11th May, from 11 am to 4 pm. Residents of Blairgowrie and the surrounding areas are cordially invited to a day filled with vibrant activities, traditional Scottish performances, and family fun.

The event will showcase the Blairgowrie Pipes and Drums band and the Linda Tosh Dance School will be showcasing their latest performances, providing entertainment that promises to delight attendees of all ages. Visitors can also look forward to a wide range of arts and crafts activities, ideal for sparking creativity among both young and old.

For children, the day will be packed with engaging activities designed to entertain and inspire. The care home’s spacious gardens will host various market stalls, offering everything from local crafts to homemade cakes and candy – perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

Sandra Reilly, the home manager at Muirton House, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming event, saying: "We are thrilled to open our doors and gardens to the Blairgowrie community. It’s a fantastic opportunity for residents and locals to connect and enjoy a day filled with fun, culture, and community spirit. 2pm Linda Tosh Dance School

Various stalls will be set up between 11am-4pm

Refreshments will be served from 12-3pm

Blairgowrie Brownies will be there to throughout to assist

Pizza Van will be there 11am- 4pm

Raffle to be held at 1.30pm
