Wokingham businessman Adam shines with diamond customer service award

12/08/2021

A business that has over the years restored more than 30,000 ovens to near showroom condition has been recognised for its outstanding customer service.

Adam Penniston, the owner of Ovenu Wokingham, and subcontractors Nathan Thorner and Stuart Howell are celebrating after online reviews platform Trustist bestowed a diamond award on the oven valeting service.

Adam, a former dry-cleaning engineer, said: “This business is founded on great service and there is no higher praise than the glowing testimonials from the people that matter most, our clients.”

The business was recognised as part of Trustist’s inaugural awards in its Top Performing Franchise category.

He added: “The last 17 months have been challenging, but this diamond award represents a huge vote of confidence in the business and the service we provide.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to our clients because without their positive feedback, Ovenu Wokingham wouldn’t have received this accolade.”

Adam launched the business in 1997, with Nathan becoming a subcontractor in 2014 and Stuart joining in May this year, a reflection of its healthy order book.

Nigel Apperley, chief executive of online reviews platform Trustist, said: “It is important to recognise that individual franchisees like Adam play a huge part in building a good reputation for an overall brand.”

Rik Hellewell, the founder and managing director of the Ovenu franchise, added: “This award is testament to the fact that Adam, Nathan and Stuart deliver a quality service that people trust.”

Ovenu Wokingham continues to accept bookings at its discretion, with the strict stipulation that both parties observe a two-metre social distancing rule, along with guidelines on hygiene and cleanliness.

As well as the market town, it also covers Finchampstead, Arborfield, Twyford, Wargrave, Cockpole Green and surrounding areas

The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic and environmentally-friendly products that leave it in near showroom condition.
