Moorgate Hollow Care Home in Rotherham is celebrating after being named one of the most recommended care homes in Yorkshire & The Humber.

The home picked up one of the carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards for 2021, which is based on more than 210,000 reviews and recommendations received from residents and their friends and family.

Moorgate Hollow currently has a score of 9.9 out of 10 on the website and is rated “good” by the Care Quality Commission.

Feedback from the daughter of a resident on the site stated: “Mum has been in Moorgate Hollow for the past 3 years with complex care needs. The staff at Moorgate Hollow have managed Mum's care needs brilliantly keeping me up to date with everything throughout the pandemic which I'm very grateful for. The staff are always very friendly and understand that this is a difficult time and have managed the Covid-19 situation amazingly. Thank you to all at Moorgate Hollow and Park Lane Group for taking great care of Mum.”

The husband of another resident at Moorgate Hollow said: “Moorgate Hollow is a great place to leave your loved one. The manager and care staff are absolutely amazing with their patient's needs and improve their quality of life to a very high standard. Having had to let my wife go into care after looking after her for the last 4 years, I have absolutely no regrets about putting her care in the hands of the staff at Moorgate Hollow. I have seen a vast improvement in her attitude and personality over the last few weeks. What an exceptional care home and so friendly and helpful to both the residents and their families.”
