International award for Macklin Motors Edinburgh dealership

07/02/2022

Macklin Motors Edinburgh East Hyundai is celebrating after being named as the only UK dealership to receive a special award from Hyundai, recognising its commitment to excellent customer service.

Hyundai Motor Company ran its annual Hyundai CX competition, which saw more than 1800 video submissions, demonstrating the very best examples in Customer Experience, across both sales and aftersales departments around the world.

The competition is the manufacturer’s way of recognising and commending the very best in Hyundai. With digitalisation becoming a substantial part of everyday life, this was a great test of creativity, adaptability and professionalism towards customer engagement and experience.

Hyundai offered four prizes in the category of ‘Participation & Video Quality’, with the Macklin Motors Edinburgh East Hyundai aftersales team the only UK dealership to secure one. The entry was recognised particularly because of its great demonstration of the ‘Welcome and Show Empathy’ criteria in the competition, in addition to being a positive and well produced video entry.

Mark Littlejohn, General Manager at Macklin Motors Edinburgh East Hyundai, said: “I’m really proud of the whole team. Every colleague has contributed to making the dealership a success and it’s great that our short video made an impact with the judges at Hyundai.”

Paul Walton, Hyundai Franchise Director at Macklin Motors, said: “This is brilliant for our Edinburgh East dealership. We strive for excellence in every part of the customer experience, so to be recognised by Hyundai is fantastic.

“The video, starring Senior Sales Adviser Jack Massie, demonstrated the care we take to listen to customers to ensure we meet their needs thoroughly. Well done to everyone involved!”
