Active Chartered Financial Planners is strengthening its position in the financial planning sector with the appointment of two new members to its growing team.

Asif Sadullah, an experienced chartered financial planner has joined Active Chartered Financial Planners, bringing 15 years’ worth of financial planning experience with him.

After graduating from York University in 1999, Asif spent the next 10 years working in advertising sales before developing a passion for finance, which led him to begin his journey of becoming a qualified charted financial planner.

With a desire to try something new, Asif decided to put his economics degree to good use, and has since taken on various voluntary roles, which included him serving as president of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in York for 2 years. Asif is currently vice president.

During his professional development, Asif, who is also a fellow of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) – the highest level of qualification awarded in the industry, has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in areas such as retirement planning, pensions, and tax planning, whist also adding several prestigious qualifications to his name. This includes his Resolution Accreditation in Financial Planning in Divorce – a qualification held by few financial planners.

Asif, originally from London, is now an honorary northerner after his move to York in 2002, where he will continue to service many of his clients.

Also joining the firm is Connie Bint, who joins the team as a client support officer, bringing with her 5 years of experience in financial services.

From Guisborough, Connie, began her journey as a finance apprentice at Redcar College. Learning a variety of financial sector-based skills, Connie developed into a customer service consultant, which included four years spent at Darlington Building Society.

At Active Chartered Financial Planners, Connie provides invaluable support to the team of financial planners and paraplanners, to ensure that the service clients receive is the best it can be.
