BANNATYNE HEALTH CLUB MANAGER ABSEILS FOR CHARITY
Vishal Gohil, general manager at the Bannatyne Health Club & Spa Leicester, is challenging himself to abseil 100 feet to raise money to thank the life-saving teams at Leicester Hospitals.
The charity fundraiser, which is known as the ‘Big Abseil’, is taking place on Saturday 10 September where participants will abseil down 10 floors of the Windsor building at the hospital.
Vishal Gohil, manager at the Bannatyne Health Club & Spa Leicester, said: “As an individual and as a health club, it is important to support local charities.
“I am fully aware of the fantastic work being done at Leicester’s Royal Infirmary. Over the past few years, both my parents have benefited from chemotherapy treatment and I will be forever grateful for the care they were given. While they were being treated I was inspired by many patients who were battling cancer and these conversations really fired me up to do anything I could to fundraise.
“I am looking forward, with some trepidation, to the Big Abseil!”
The fundraising event, which is being hosted by Leicester Hospitals charity, is asking for £30 from people to participate and encourages friends and family to watch the event take place.
The charity works to support Leicester’s hospitals and to improve the experience for visitors when visiting family or friends.
