NORWICH WOMAN ANNOUNCED AS WINNER OF £5,000 HOLIDAY

09/06/2022

Home improvement company worker Lucy Fisher is dreaming about where she can go after bagging a £5,000 holiday voucher in a Bannatyne Health Clubs’ competition.

The 21-year-old, who is a member of the Norwich club, describes herself as an ‘enthusiastic traveller’ so is delighted to have won the Love2Shop Holiday Voucher in Bannatyne’s Join a Friend scheme.

Lucy, an installations co-ordinator, has massively improved her fitness levels and lost 2.5 stones since joining the club on Northside Business Park, in December.

She attends the club five or six times a week and focuses on functional strength training in its weight section, followed by a swim in the pool and then relaxing in the steam room, sauna and hot tub.

Lucy, who lives in Long Stratton, hasn’t made her mind up where she will travel, but at the moment Iceland and Croatia are top of her list. She is not a ‘sitting on a beach’ type of person, but loves to explore, see the sights and soak up an area’s culture.

She said: “I never win anything. When I got the call about winning, I thought it was a spoof at first. I said, ‘can you repeat that’ and then said, ‘I will have to sit down’.

“It is a fantastic prize, and I can’t wait to decide exactly where I am going to go and make a booking.”

Lucy plans to go on holiday with her partner Tom Cliffe.

She referred her friend Rebecca Richardson, who wants to follow in her footsteps and get into better shape, to the club.

Lucy said: “The club has fabulous facilities. The pool is phenomenal, and it is lovely to be able to wind down, with a swim and then totally relax in the steam room, sauna and hot tub, after a strenuous session in the gym.”

Shaun Cable, general manager at the Bannatyne health club Norwich, said: “Congratulations to Lucy. She is an inspiration with how hard she has worked to boost her overall wellbeing by becoming leaner and fitter.

“She has earned a well-deserved break and we hope that she enjoys experiencing some of the sights and culture wherever she decides to go.

“We can’t wait to see her holiday snaps and hearing all about the trip.

“We thank her for being a valued member at Bannatyne Health Club Norwich and for recommending us to her friend Rebecca Richardson, whom we are looking forward to welcoming to the club.”

Entrants to the competition had to be an existing Bannatyne member and join a friend at one of the company’s health clubs during April.
