Meet Patrick, he has been a member at the Bannatyne health club in Luton since May 2015.

In mid-August 2021 after surviving through all the Covid lockdowns, Patrick received some devastating news which changed his life when he was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer

A few days later after receiving his news, Patrick came into the club to train, he asked to speak with our Fitness Manager Scott. He spoke with Scott and told him his devastating news, along with telling a few of our other staff members.

As time went on Patrick booked PT sessions with Scott to help him focus on his fitness and to help him to get back to what he loves doing, playing sport.

On September 1st, 2021, Patrick started his chemotherapy and was very grateful for the support he received from the Luton team members during this time.

Even with his chemotherapy treatments Patrick still came into the gym and did his regular PT sessions with Scott.

By the middle of January 2022 Patrick had his last PT session before his final chemotherapy treatment. Before he left his PT session, he booked in another session for the 7th February

Fast forward to the 7th of February... Patrick walked into the club and made his way to reception to meet Scott.

Scott approached and saw that Patrick had the biggest smile on his face, Patrick turned to Scott, Nicola the general manager) and Laura the reception manager and said that he was now in remission. This was the best news that we could hear for Patrick and we were all so happy for him.

Patrick wanted to share his story to say that no matter how hard life gets, you need to keep powering through and surround yourself with the right people and nothing is impossible.

Patrick said: ''I had the Cancer, the Luton Bannatyne team offered support and WE all beat the Cancer.”
