Cairn Hotel Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Kimber as Group Executive Chef.

With an impressive culinary background spanning over two decades, Nick brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.

Nick Kimber has established himself as a distinguished chef throughout his career, having worked in prestigious kitchens and leading culinary teams. During his six-year tenure with Firmdale Hotels in London, he served as the Executive Chef at Ham Yard Hotel and Soho Hotel, as well as the Head Chef of Charlotte Street Hotel.

As the Group Executive Chef of Apartment Group, Nick successfully oversaw all sites, including Newton Hall, Le Petit Chateau, Joiner's Arms, and As You Like It. He also showcased his prowess as the Head Chef of various hotels in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.

Throughout his career, Nick has been recognised for his culinary excellence, earning 2 AA rosettes and working at Michelin Star level establishments. His exceptional skills were further acknowledged when he was awarded the pastry chef mentor award at the Craft Guild of Chefs graduate awards in 2018.

When it comes to his favourite dishes, Nick's versatility shines. He delights in creating a super simple ceviche of seabass with avocado, citrus fruits, and coriander. Alternatively, he finds joy in preparing a slow-braised beef with truffle mash, roasted carrot, and shallot, adapting his creations to suit both mood and season.

In his new role as Group Executive Chef at Cairn Hotel Group, Nick Kimber will oversee the delivery of multiple menus across a variety of brands and settings. He will work closely with the operations team to launch new brands, concepts, and menus. Additionally, Nick will provide invaluable support to kitchen brigades, leading them through periods of change or resourcing challenges by working alongside them in the kitchens.
