Accountancy firm welcomes Middlesbrough Mayor to celebrate 40 years of growth

Clive Owen LLP welcomed Mayor of Middlesbrough Chris Cooke to its office in the town as part of the firm’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

The firm now operates from Darlington, York, Durham and Middlesbrough with 13 partners and over 130 members of the team.

Led by partner Chris Beaumont and tax partner Lee Watson, from an initial 11 team members the Middlesbrough office, which opened in 2021, has grown to 20colleagues and has significantly increased its client base.

Initially, Clive Owen set up at home in 1983 and then opened his first office in Cockerton in 1984. The firm grew to a team of 10 and moved to offices in Blackwell Lane in April 1988.

The firm opened offices in York in 1994, Durham in 1997 and Middlesbrough in 2021.
