John Elliott responds to Government's simplified approach to heat pump installation announced today
SUBJECT: UK HEAT PUMP EXPERT AVAILABLE FOR INTERVIEW
John Elliott MBE, DL, founder and chairman of Ebac Limited and a forerunner in the heat pump sector is available for interview.
He is expected to say:
- The Government has listened to his calls to remove insulation requirements, making it easier for homeowners to access grant funding.
- He welcomes the simplified approach to heat pump installation announced today (31/8/23).
John designed his first heat pump for a home built by Bovis at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynllreth. This was more than 30 years ago.
He is also happy to address some of the myths and criticisms surrounding heat pumps.
Ebac is bringing to market, new domestic heat pumps, suitable for the average UK home, made in Britain and expected to cost £3,000 to £5,000 depending on specification. This product is going to reduce the expected price of fitting these climate change friendly heating systems.
