07/10/2021

Deanston House in Doune, part of Enhanced Community Healthcare Options Group (ECHO), has announced two key senior appointments that will further extend and strengthen its management team.

Deanston House is a care home registered to provide care to 20 adults with learning disabilities.

Celia Peat, who has wealth of learning disability nursing experience as well as management and leadership knowledge and skills, has been promoted to registered manager.

She has worked at Deanston House since January 2020 starting as a senior staff nurse.

Her proven track record, as an effective nurse and leader, saw her progress to clinical nurse manager then deputy manager before her latest promotion.

Vicky Miller, who was recruited as a registered nurse 15 months ago, has become deputy manager.

She has worked in NHS theatres and hospitals and care homes for older people and those with a learning disability, including nursing leadership posts.

Marie Greenberry, director of operations at Deanston House, said: “Both Celia and Vicky are seasoned nursing and care industry professionals with impressive levels of knowledge and experience.

“Their clinical and leadership skills, combined with their proactive approaches to providing high quality services and compassionate care to residents, will see them excel in their new roles.

“We are confident these appointments will maintain ECHO’s ethos of continuous improvements and the best outcomes for the people we support.”

The service offers a high standard of nursing care and support for people with learning disabilities who may also have a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder or behaviour which is challenging to support.

The home provides three individual and independent suites accommodating six service users in each, with a further two studio apartments on the ground floor.

It is part of Enhanced Community Healthcare Options (ECHO).
