Flexitallic UK Ltd, the international market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of industrial static sealing solutions, has appointed Anthony Tanner as its business development manager for the South West region.

Highly experienced, he has spent the past 16 years working for Brammer, Buck and Hickman, the industrial supplies specialist, which is part of Europe’s largest industrial distribution business, the Rubix Group.

Joining as onsite manager, he has carried out several roles including regional key account manager, regional insite manager before becoming engineering manager.

As onsite manager, he was responsible for purchasing, engineering and stores for a range of clients, including the Valero oil refinery at Pembroke, Rockwool, and The Royal Mint.

He spent two years as a regional onsite manager leading a 30-strong team to oversee several blue chip and leading industrial manufacturers, as well as acting as service centre manager for the South West, ensuring the opening and smooth running of a multi-functional facility.

Hailing from Bridgend, Anthony’s first job was in sales with Anixter Fasteners, a position he held for five years.

He said: “I’ve spent most of my time working on customer sites and I’ve built up a great deal of experience across a range of industries in sales, management and products.

“I’m excited to join Flexitallic, which is a market leader in its field, and I look forward to continuing my customer-facing role and contributing to its ongoing growth and success.”

Anthony, who is married with two children, is a keen rugby fan and is a referee, as well as coaching his local village team.
