Fulcrum Group has appointed highly experienced energy and engineering specialist Martin Brown as Commercial Director of its complex and high voltage electrical engineering business, Dunamis.

With more than two decades of experience in engineering, Martin joins the company to focus on delivering business growth and implementing strategies, as Dunamis continues to play a growing role in supporting its clients to benefit from their expertise in energising low-carbon technologies.

In a previous role, Martin was Commercial and Engineering Director at Offshore NRG, where he developed the company’s capabilities in providing enhanced electrical asset management services to the renewable industry.

He also has experience in the offshore wind sector having spent seven years leading the management of offshore transmission assets with wind farm developer, Ørsted, and prior to that with Diamond Transmission.

Martin’s career started in power generation, where he worked in various power plant in the UK and EU, and also led the development and construction of Kladno power station’s block K7, a €300m coal and biomass-fired combined heat and power plant in the Czech Republic.

From its base in Bury St Edmunds, where it has a team of more than 30, Dunamis provides its highly specialist electrical design services and high voltage electrical infrastructure capabilities.

Its bespoke solutions, which are all designed, delivered and project managed by the in-house team of electricity specialists, are utilised for the construction and energisation of facilities such as large-scale battery storage facilities, and infrastructure for solar farms and onshore wind farms. It also supports Fulcrum’s major multi-utility infrastructure projects with high voltage electrical works.
