Residents of Cranford Care Home in Aberdeen have woven the spirit of Easter into their craft activities, resulting in an array of beautifully designed Easter bonnets. This hands-on event encouraged residents to express their creativity while welcoming in the spring season.

Coleen Reid, the home manager, reflected on the fun and creative activity: "The Easter bonnet making session was a special event for our residents. It’s these kinds of traditions that bring everyone together, fostering a sense of community and festivity within our home.

“Seeing the residents' eyes light up as they showcased their creations was truly heart-warming," she said. "Such activities are vital in not just reliving cherished traditions, but also in maintaining the dexterity and cognitive skills of our residents.”

Edna Matthews, a resident who took part in the crafting session shared: "Making my bonnet was such a pleasure; it's a lovely nod to the Easter traditions that have always been dear to me."
