Nala, the black Labrador, brought a ray of sunshine to what was a rainy day at Hollies Care Home in Reading, bringing a smile to the faces of residents, staff as well as visiting family.

The visit from Nala is a testament to the power of animals in creating a sense of happiness among people of all generations. Both the older residents, as well as toddlers who were visiting, loved the chance to meet and cuddle Nala.

Hollies Care Home continues to uphold its commitment to providing a fun environment for its residents, and the visit from Nala demonstrates the home's dedication to improving the lives of those in its care.

Yasemin Ucan, the home’s manager, said: “Nala’s presence was a true joy for everyone there, and we are massively grateful to Matt Seabourne for giving Nala to the home manager for the day to enable her to surprise the residents.

“We are committed to promoting a happy environment at the home, and Nala's visit perfectly aligns with our vision.

“It was especially great for the residents who formerly had pets of their own, it brought back fond memories which they were able to reminisce about.”
