MORE GROWTH FOR DARLINGTON SOLICITOR AS APPRENTICE SCHEMES PROVIDE CLEAR DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY

07/02/2023

Latimer Hinks solicitors in Darlington is marking National Apprentice Week by announcing the progression of two apprentices from one scheme to another.

Joining in 2021, Elisia Richardson, 18, and Rebecca Bowers, 20, have now completed their 18-month apprenticeship and are looking to start a Team Leader Apprenticeship in May 2023.

Both promoted to office administrators from business administrative apprentices, the additional apprenticeship scheme represents a progression to the next stage in their development with leadership training being a key theme throughout.

As a member of the youth employment charter, Latimer Hinks is committed to providing quality opportunities for young people to gain the skills and experiences they need at the beginning of their careers. Indeed Latimer Hinks recruited two further apprentices, Isla Seaward, 16, and Lottie Curry, 19 to the business administrator level 3 scheme in recognition of their commitment to the charter.

In addition to the new apprentices, Latimer Hinks has made a significant investment in its building and IT systems to revolutionise the way it works with clients. The firm’s footprint in Darlington is also increasing to accommodate its growth with proposed expansion into additional premises in the town centre.

Elizabeth Armstrong, managing director at Latimer Hinks said: “Our apprentices have been an invaluable resource for the company and have helped us to address many key administration functions within the firm as we grow from the post-pandemic climate.

“It has been incredibly rewarding to the see our apprentices develop and mature within their roles, taking responsibility and, ultimately, becoming important members of our team.”

Elisia Richardson, office administrator at Latimer Hinks said: “Since leaving school, I have loved every minute working with Latimer Hinks whilst achieving my business administrator level 3 at the same time.

“Our timetable is well structured so that we can study for our apprenticeship but also gain valuable working experience.

“I really feel part of the Latimer Hinks family and I’m grateful that I have been given this opportunity to begin another apprenticeship so that I can continue learning under a great employer.”
