With inflation already starting to fall, I’m optimistic the economy is starting to reset with a return to normality.

“Thanks to the various levelling up initiatives and the additional investment this is attracting, the region is slightly sheltered from the worst effects.

“That’s reflected by our experience in the property market across the North East and North Yorkshire. We remain extremely busy in the rental sector where demand continues to outstrip supply while sales and our pipeline of properties remain strong.

“The investor market is also healthy, largely due to the shortage of rental homes, with many investors adopting a buy, refurbish, refinance strategy, which allows them to recycle their original deposit through adding additional value by improving the quality of the home.”
