Handy Mag – July 2023

15/06/2023

A word from our Chairman

In a blink of an eye, we have passed the halfway mark on what has already been a truly magnificent 2023.

We have hosted some amazing events and celebrated several special occasions, welcoming family and friends throughout.

The recent warm weather has arrived in perfect timing with The Hall’s new and exciting wellbeing garden now one step closer to completion.

This month, residents were joined by family and friends for a Father’s Day barbeque. We always make a fuss on special days of the year and Father's Day is no exception!

Wellbeing garden takes shape

We are edging ever closer to our new wellbeing garden being fully complete. Everyone is looking forward to the long project hosting a variety of different features. The Hall’s Garden Group has already begun discovering different elements to the garden, including the new water fountain, and have been joined by our Knatter and Knit Group, which is experimenting with how it can best use the new facility when knitting cosy winter sweaters!

Our staff are working closely with residents on deciding which plants they would like to grow in the garden, and how the new plant pots be used as a mechanism to relax the mind and revive the soul.

Father’s Day fun

It was great to welcome family and friends of The Hall for our annual Father’s Day celebrations. A barbeque in the sun is very popular among residents and it’s fair to say the food on the day did not disappoint. Our activities team did a great job at organising some activities on The Hall’s grounds and was rounded off with some well-deserved ice cream for all to enjoy.
