Eston care home celebrates dual victory at the Great British Care Awards regional final

Astune Rise Care Home in Eston, part of Popular Care, has been recognised for its person-centred care with a double award win at the Great British Care Awards regional final.

Home manager, Caroline Bowstead, and care home worker, Kerry Atkins, have both been honoured with prestigious awards, highlighting their exceptional commitment and service in the care sector.

Caroline Bowstead has been awarded the 'Dignity in Care Award', a recognition of her unwavering dedication to upholding the dignity and respect of all residents under her care. Her approach has not only enhanced the quality of life for the residents but also served as an inspirational model for her colleagues.

Kerry Atkins received the 'Care Home Worker Award', a testament to her outstanding contribution and relentless hard work. Her efforts have significantly impacted the lives of those she cares for, demonstrating a level of compassion and professionalism that sets a gold standard in the industry.

Both Caroline and Kerry will now advance to the national finals of the Great British Care Awards, set to take place in March 2024. This event is a national celebration of excellence across the care sector, acknowledging the unsung heroes who consistently go above and beyond in their roles.
