Rosedene Nurseries

Rosedene Nurseries, which has 10 settings across Tees Valley and North Yorkshire, welcomed families across the region to a family fun day, featuring a guest appearance from Middlesborough mascot, Roary the Lion.

Children from all the settings headed to the Herlingshaw Centre in Normanby to play penalty shootouts with Roary, as well as taking part in other creative and sporty activities with their parents and siblings.

The nursery group has worked in partnership with the MFC Foundation, the Middlesbrough Football Club-linked charity that uses the power of football to make a positive difference, since 2021.

It has hosted several visits from Roary the Lion, and has fundraised for the charity in the past.

Caris Williams from Rosedene Nurseries, said: “Today has been so much fun. The children have got so involved and it’s all been about bringing everyone together, having fun, and highlighting how important it is to bring children to events like this.

“We’ve developed a fantastic relationship with the MFC Foundation, which includes it providing tickets for Middlesbrough games to our families and our nurseries holding lots of fundraising activities. We absolutely love being part of the MFC family.”

Paul Murphy from the MFC Foundation, said: “Partnerships with people like Rosedene are massively important to us. It’s fantastic to have that link with the community and its support to help us do what we do.”

Rosedene is also supporting the MFC Foundation’s next community event – a memory walk being held on 23 July at the Riverside Stadium.
