BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL GIVES LOCAL CARE HOME GLOWING REPORT

01/02/2023

Azalea House in Bedford has been given an ‘excellent’ report following a visit from Bedford Borough Council.

The home, which supports individuals with learning difficulties and mental health conditions, was visited by the local authority to assess the quality of care provided.

It was rated excellent in five areas including personalised care and support, care and welfare of service users and respecting and involving service users. This gave the home an overall grading of excellent.

The service was evaluated using the Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution (PAMMS) online assessment tool, which helps local authorities to assess the quality of care delivered by providers of adult social care services.

Donna-Maria Masters, manager at Azalea House, said: “I’m delighted that the local authority has given us such a glowing report, marking us as good and excellent in all areas, and excellent overall.

“It is a testament to how hard our team work with the individuals we support to make Azalea House not just a care home, but their home too.

“We will continue to keep our high standards and excellent quality levels, and look forward to welcoming the local authority back to see us again in the future.”

John Godden MBE, CEO of Salutem Care and Education, which operates Azalea House, said: “Huge congratulations to Donna-Maria and the team for the excellent PAMMS report for Azalea House.

“The team consistently deliver the highest level of care and support to the individuals in the service and I’m delighted this has been recognised by the local authority.”

Azalea House is operated by Pathways Care, which is part of Salutem Care and Education. It is rated Good by the CQC.
