CARDIFF ‘MYSTERIOUS GIRL’ RECOGNISED BY PRESTIGIOUS CARE INDUSTRY AWARDS

14/02/2023

Sarah Davies, a manager for Salutem Care and Education, has been named the regional winner of Care Home Registered Manager award in the Great British Care Awards for the Wales region.

She will now go on to attend the national awards in March, which features Peter Andre as a guest.

Sarah joined Cardiff-based Lewis Martin Court, a residential nursing home that provides support and care for young adults, in 2014.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding work within their field.

Upon receiving the award, Sarah said: “I was so surprised to have even been nominated; I don’t even know who nominated me but thank you!

“I am lucky enough to have worked for Lewis Martin Court for 10 years, even more so being promoted to manager, which was a dream come true.

“I love the people here; I have good relationships with the staff and the families of our residents.”

“When I won the regional award, the first thing I said to the host was, ‘I’m going to meet Peter Andre!’. His album was the first independent purchase I made as a child, so it’s exciting. Maybe I will be his mysterious girl haha.”

John Godden MBE, CEO of Salutem Care and Education, said: “On behalf of the whole Salutem family, I’d like to congratulate Sarah for this extraordinary recognition and her dedicated service to Lewis Martin Court for the last 10 years.

“We wish Sarah the very best of luck at the Great British Care National Awards on 17th March!”
