21/12/2022

A specialist social care worker with more than three decades’ experience has been promoted to expand the role as head of regulation and compliance, now also encompassing DPO and policy at Salutem Care and Education.

Michael Albero was previously a specialist social worker in safeguarding and disability before joining Salutem, a leading residential and social care operator with 120 services nationwide.

Michael has been working with the company for nine years and is now not only responsible for working in conjunction with the regulators and the regulations they set for the social care industry, but also responsible for policy and data protection for the group

His promotion follows a restructure in Salutem’s management system with new head of department roles for the supported living divisions as well as leadership positions in business development and recruitment.

Michael said: “I am proud to have been chosen to play such an important role in Salutem’s future.

“I am looking forward to working with the social care regulators across the UK to ensure the company’s services comply with the regulations set and guarantee safe and enjoyable care for everyone at Salutem.”

John Godden MBE, CEO at Salutem said: “Michael is dedicated social care professional with decades worth of experience in the industry.

“His safeguarding background makes him the ideal candidate for the new role, which is now part of a wider leadership team, seeking to maximise the quality of care provided across all of Salutem’s services.”
