Ashton Court care home in Newcastle, part of Solehawk, has been recognised for its exceptional care at the regional finals of the esteemed Great British Care Awards. Demonstrating excellence and dedication, the care home celebrates three significant accomplishments in various award categories.

Gill McCulla has been honoured with the Care Home Newcomer Award. This prestigious recognition highlights her exceptional contribution to the care home, embodying the spirit of commitment and compassion that is the hallmark of Ashton Court.

Adding to the home’s success, Linda Nigrelli has been awarded the Care Home Chef/Cook Award. Her culinary expertise and dedication to nutrition and dietary needs of the residents have set a new standard in care home catering, reflecting the high quality of life provided at Ashton Court.

Michelle Pentland has been highly commended in the Care Home Worker Award category, a testament to her outstanding service and the positive impact she has made on the lives of residents.

The Great British Care Awards, with its 21 diverse categories, celebrates the breadth and depth of talent, dedication, and innovation in the social care sector. Covering a wide spectrum, from care for older people to specialist services, the awards recognise the vital contributions of frontline staff, including care workers, managers, and those excelling in areas such as training and innovation.
