Bristol Street Motors announces key management changes in Tees Valley dealerships

07/12/2023

Bristol Street Motors is making significant management changes within its Tees Valley dealerships, as it rebalances manufacturer representation in the area.

Lee Stewart, General Manager of Bristol Street Motors Darlington Nissan, is set to make a strategic move to the brand’s Stockton Motornation dealership, which will soon transition into a dedicated Nissan business.

Lee’s wealth of experience and knowledge will prove indispensable as the company prepares to represent Nissan in Stockton.

Jass Singh is taking over Lee’s role at Bristol Street Motors Darlington Nissan. Despite recently retiring, Jass has decided to come back for a "further stint before he hangs up his boots." He is a well-known figure within the automotive industry and has previously earned the title of General Manager of the Year within the wider Vertu Motors group. In 2019, his previous dealership was named as Vauxhall Retailer of the Year; the site also won a Vauxhall customer excellence award eight times.

His return is met with great enthusiasm, and his reputation as an outstanding operator in all facets of motor retail makes this appointment a rock-solid addition to the Group and its Nissan Renault division.

Steve Gould, Operations Director of Bristol Street Motors’ Nissan Renault division, expressed his confidence in the transition, stating: "Bristol Street Motors Darlington Nissan is one of the brand's flagship locations, and we require a top-notch General Manager to build upon the incredible work that Lee Stewart has accomplished and to continue flying the flag high for Darlington - Jass is this person."

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Bristol Street Motors, commented on the changes, saying: "We are committed to providing the highest levels of expertise and service to our customers, and these changes reflect our dedication to that mission.

“We are delighted to welcome back Jass Singh and to see Lee Stewart take on this crucial role. With their leadership, we are poised for further success in Tees Valley."
