BTCC fans invited to celebrate as Bristol Street Motors launches 2024 programme

21/02/2024

Fans of the British Touring Car Championship will get the opportunity to join Bristol Street Motors to celebrate the launch of its 2024 season at a special event taking place next month.

The team, being run once again this year by Bristol Street Motors’ racing partners EXCELR8, will make the short trip from its new base in Droitwich to Caffeine & Machine near Stratford-upon-Avon for the event on Friday 15 March.

There, the covers will be taken off the Hyundai i30 Fastback N cars that will be driven this season by 2022 champion Tom Ingram and team-mate Tom Chilton, both of which will carry a special livery to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bristol Street Motors.

Also present will be the car of Scottish youngster Ronan Pearson, who embarks on his second season in the BTCC this year and will once again be supported by sister brand Macklin Motors, which operates exclusively within Scotland.

As well as being able to get up close to the three race cars, those who attend the event will be able to chat with Tom, Tom and Ronan as they meet fans and take questions about the upcoming BTCC season, which is scheduled to get underway at Donington Park in late April.

The decision to hold the event at Caffeine & Machine means that the 2024 racing programme is not only launched in a location at the heart of the British automotive industry, but also one that is less than an hour away from the original Bristol Street Motors dealership in Birmingham.

That dealership remains in place to this day and has its own links to the BTCC, having been utilised as the pitlane for the Birmingham Superprix that ran from 1986 and 1990 and featured two BTCC events, both of which were won by four-time champion Andy Rouse.

Fans can secure a place at the Bristol Street Motors BTCC launch through the Caffeine & Machine website.
