Macklin Motors, the trading name for Vertu Motors plc in Scotland, has launched the first phase of a major recruitment drive after being awarded the Toyota franchise in the west of the country.

Macklin Motors has drawn up plans to attract colleagues, as it develops four dealerships to cover the extensive franchise area. The first site is due to open in Glasgow on April 1.

Macklin Motors Toyota Glasgow will be the first dealership to recruit, and it is looking to take on around 30 new colleagues. The team will include technicians, sales advisors, and a certified management accountant.

The new dealership, which houses the world’s best-selling car manufacturer and is a leader in the electrification of the global automotive sector, will offer a full range of new and used Toyota models.

This will include the all new Yaris Cross and Aygo X, the iconic Hilux and the extensive range of Toyota hybrid electric vehicles.

The new Toyota Glasgow dealership based at 860 Kennishead Road, Darnley was formerly a Macklin Motors Motornation dealership. It also will welcome Motability customers.
